The Canadian division of Volkswagen announced vehicle details and pricing information for the new 2011 Volkswagen Touareg. Starting this November, consumers will be able to test drive the upgraded 2011 Touareg at the local dealerships. Notable 2011 upgrades include:

  • Slightly longer and wider exterior
  • Improved fuel efficiency and lower emmissions (actual figures are not yet available)
  • Standard Volkswagen’s RNS 850 Navigation System
  • Four 12V outlets and a single 115V outlet inside the car
  • Standard 18″ allow wheels

2011 Volkswagen Touareg will be powered by the 280 horsepower V6 engine – no change from its earlier predecessor.

The starting pricetag in Canada is set at $48,440. This is about $8,000 more than the 2010 MSRP model according to Edmunds.com. The price puts 2011 Touareg above some of other luxury SUV competitors such as Acura MDX ($42,580) and Lexus RX ($39,375).
